The Brothers Howdyshell

Welcome to this - our opus of absurdity. Each week on a Tuesday night at a basement bar in Harrisonburg VA we host a friendly little gameshow we call, Bingo Is Life!

We spin the Wheel of Fate, we ponder the Skulls of Destiny, we unleash the Swinging String Rings of Justice. And we sing about Bingo Heaven while we play Bingo.

After the show, we get together with our talented friends Jay, Dan, and Britney to discuss the zeitgeist of the day. Our podcast is hyper local, but universally accessible to anyone with a slight penchant for short, discussions on music, comedy, history, games, and of course- the scene in our little town of Harrisonburg Virginia.

Join us and enjoy the simple pleasure of living in a small town full of the most interesting and the most mundane. Take a break from the politics and any semblance of serious discussion. Laugh about something silly with us. Hearing is believing.

With the big "Day of the Arts" coming to Harrisonburg this May 4th, we were fortunate to have Dr. Doe, Dorothee Polanz, PhD. join us tonight to talk about her part in this awesome event. She shares info about her upcoming performance, "The 3 Fairies of the Wind."
JP Gulla also chimes in about the "Day of the Arts" and we are excited to be a part of it!
Side note: A little bingo philosophy is shared in this episode, exposing the true nature and coexistence of both good and evil, light and dark. Pair this with a new featured game we call, "Is This Salad?" and it becomes apparent that tonight's gameshow and this podcast was something special.

Tom King joins us to discuss a little theatre, a little sheep farming, and what the hell, let's talk about wild dogs too... Jay had a second night of auditions for his new production, "If There's A Rock-n-Roll Heaven" and Bingo was on fire tonight!
Yet another scattered showcase of the Harrisonburg scene and its interesting people. And last but not least - can you believe we hit episode 60!
A few mentions:
Ruby's Arcade - From Oscar Wilde to Samuel Beckett, no pizza gives the abstraction of Godot or the watercress sandwiches of Earnest like Ruby's. It's a theatre for your tastebuds - if you'll excuse the expression.
